Horndean Parish Community Plan: Much 'behind the scenes' work going on. The Plan is still on track for submission to EHDC Southern Parishes Community Forum on Tuesday 10th April. We have had lots of useful feedback on an early draft from officers at East Hampshire District Council and Hampshire County Council, Horndean Parish councillors and our stalwart band of reviewers. The current version is rather long and we are considering a summary document for delivery to every household with the full version available on request. More on that in the coming weeks. All documents at http://bit.ly/horndean-plan. The Plan was introduced at the last Community Forum on 10th January at the excellent St John's Centre, Rowlands Castle. It was standing room only, mainly I suspect, because the development brief for Land North of James Copse Road (Lovedean Lane) was on the agenda (http://bit.ly/yK9WWM). East Hampshire Joint Core Strategy: The pre-submission draft document is available online for public representation until 16 March 2012. The document sets out the framework for development in East Hampshire to 2028. It has been jointly prepared by East Hampshire District Council and the South Downs National Park Authority. I have created a summary of the parts that relate to Horndean. Drop me an email if you would like a copy of that. Havant Road Development: I attended my first Development Consultation Forum at EHDC offices in Petersfield on 15 January. This formal meeting enabled councillors to listen to and ask questions of the developer's consultants. I found it informative - professionally conducted all round. A planning application has now been received by EHDC Planning Department and should be available to view online in a couple of weeks. Try searching for reference 53198. Gales Brewery site: Burton Properties discussions with Fullers (the owners of the brewery site) are proceeding to plan and they will keep us updated. In the meantime, all the 2010 plans can still be viewed at EHDC's website (http://bit.ly/zN3H0O). The Archaeology report is fascinating. Green Dragon: Those of you who live in Lovedean will have noticed the Green Dragon public house (75 Lovedean Lane) closed in December and hoardings go up. Havant Borough Council has just received a planning application (12/00186) "Query to change of use to Tesco Store". The application is not online yet. South of Butser Safer Neighbourhood Team: Police Sergeant 3800 Gavin Parkes of the South of Buster Safer Neighbourhood Team writes: "We are currently reviewing our priorities and processes. You can influence these by completing a 'Your Voice Counts' survey either online or with one of the team (email: southofbutser.snt@hampshire.pnn.police.uk or leave a message on 0845 045 45 45). Please help us help you. We also publish an electronic newsletter with updates on our work. For a copy, please email the team." Twinning Association concert: Blendworth Brass Band are performing at Blendworth Church Centre on 15th March (7.00 pm for 7.30 pm). Tickets £5.00, light refreshments included. Proceeds to Horndean Twinning Association.
